- Hasty Cyndaquil
Hasty is a good Nature for Typhlosion. I'd either attach some Choice Specs or a Choice Scarf. If you don't like Choice, go for Life Orb. Hasty Typhlosion @ Choice Specs / Choice Scarf / Life Orb 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Speed - Focus Blast - Overheat - Flamethrower - Eruption --Will Add Rest in an Edit--

Hey, the Focus Band isn't a Power Item. A Focus Band gives a slight chance for the pokemon holding it to 'endure' a hit. The Power Items are as follows: Power Weight - Helps HP Growth Power Bracer - Helps Attack Growth Power Belt - Helps Defense Growth Power Lens - Helps Special Attack Growth Power Band - Helps Special Defense Growth Power Anklet - Helps Speed Growth CLICK HERE for our Guide to EV Training which will give you more information on the Power Items and how/where to EV Train. Hope this helps

Thanks very much for the link (: i've checked it out, got the hang of it now! but i was just wondering...are these items tradeable on pokémon? if they are, could i please trade for a few? mainly the Anklet, Bracer, and Lens? ESPECIALLY the Anklet ^^ thanks (: edit: also, would my Cyndaquil (now Quilava, lvl17) have to fight the battles completedly by itself to earn the EV points, and does it matter that it has started at lvl17? or should i have started it from hatching lvl? if these two questions: (request for Anklet + Cyndaquil query) could be answer, would be much ablidged Last edited by mischief_69 on Sun May 10, 2009 4:31 am; edited 1 time in total

So yes, you have to start at lvl 1 (unless you use rare candies or daycare, since they are not battling, no EVs are earnt). This also means u can use exp share or switch pokemon to earn EVs. But you should have started at level 1. By 17 it probably has 100 or so EVs already.
