The 2023-24 season is almost a wrap šŸŽ¬& Iā€™d be lying if I said I wasnā€™t hugely emotional about it as it's changed my life šŸ„¹I entered the season short of confidence and struggling with my social anxiety, and I finished the season having faced my fears (speaking up/publicly) and overcoming so many personal hurdles - sport is so powerful!Seeing my āš½ļø team reach a major final, seeing the London Lions women win the EuroCup šŸ€šŸ†, getting to snapšŸ“ø our England LionessesšŸ¦ @ both the Home of FootballšŸŸļø& Spurs @ White Hart LanešŸ¤, covering the NBA in ParisšŸ€šŸ‡«šŸ‡·, helping deliver a coaching clinic with Team USA BasketballšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø on behalf of the London Coaches Program, reporting on the NFLšŸˆ, including my team, the Baltimore Ravens, at Wembley & Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been a truly magicalšŸŖ„ experience! So grateful to have been able to have spent the year as a photographer šŸ“ø, journalist āœšŸ½, and most importantly, a fanā™„ļøWhat a season of sport:WSL āš½ļøāœ…Premier League āš½ļøā³NBAšŸ€ā³NFLšŸˆāœ…I count 8 football stadiums visited across the country too!šŸŸļøOver and out, and letā€™s hope the 2024-25 season is full of more learning, perfecting the craft & new experiencesā™„ļøSpecial thanks must be handed out to GiveMeSport , 2K , and individuals including Christy Malyan, Olivier Neven, Kayleigh Watson, Rhys Webb & many, MANY more!

Womenā€™s Sports are the hottest tickets in town šŸŽŸļø But, it wasnā€™t always this way. While many of us women have grown up, and still do, experience comments often about how ā€œwomenā€™s sports arenā€™t realā€ and what not, the numbers really do speak for themselves. In the 2024 NCAA March Madness tournament, more people were attuned to the storylines happening in the womenā€™s game that featured names that you likely may have heard of, even if youā€™ve never watched college basketball.Caitlin Clark. Angel Reese. Kamilla Cardoso. Paige Bueckers. Just to name a few. What this did was culminate in viewership records being broken as rounds progressed, with the National Championship game achieving an estimated 18.7 million viewers, peaking at 24.1 million. The Menā€™s National Chanpionship game saw only an estimated 14.52 million viewers. Why is this important? Well, both tournaments had the same level of visibility on national broadcasts, and yet, people were still more interested in the womenā€™s side of the game.On that note - I felt proud to have the platform to write a piece for GiveMeSport about how these women, and focused around the No. 1 overall pick of the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) Draft, Caitlin Clark, have helped transcend the landscape of not just womenā€™s basketball, but womenā€™s sport in its entirety. My final words to you before you should absolutely read this article are: Everyone watches womenā€™s sports, and you should too.#WNBA #NCAA #NBA #Basketball #womenssport #womensbasketball

History for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club as they reach the Adobe Womenā€™s FA Cup Final for the first time in their history. Gritty team performance after being 1-0 down, to forcing extra time by a goal in the 83rd minute, before sealing the deal with a winner with mere minutes left in extra time. Fortunate to have been able to have been down on the sidelines as a photographer - thank you Curtis Nice for granting me the acreditation on behalf of Rhys Webb and FTS, and thank you Rhys for trusting me to take the shots for you!I never take these opportunities for granted.Onto Wembley! (Hopefully I can shoot it once again, but due to the sheer competitiveness, just to be there as a fan will be a dream in itself and a very good consolation)!See attached the shots of Jessica Nazā€™ and Martha Thomasā€™ goals! Friday 5th April 2024 is a date that will be etched into my mind for a very long time. I was fortunate enough (and very surprised) to have been granted photography accreditation by The FA to photograph the England Lionesses in their Euro 2025 qualifier vs. Sweden at none other than Wembley Stadium, my home of football.Having never touched a pro-level camera until an hour or so before the match (I own a beginners DSLR and have never shot action photography before - only landscapes!), I had very little time to learn everything I needed to get the best out of the shoot - something I was extremely nervous about. But, nonetheless, I had an incredible time, met some amazing photographers who offered me tips throughout the game, and I can tick off yet another dream of mine as I look to channel my creative side. One thing that stuck out to me the most was the response from the fans - and seeing parents take their children, and understanding the power of these young women on not just the sporting world, but everywhere (see slide 19 for a poignant image that took my breath away from a mother's sign to the players)I have attached some of my favourite snaps - though there are many, many more published on my instagram: @jacobsbryant_photographyI will also be curating a portfolio of work on my website at some point in the next few weeks as I look to hopefully be accredited again in the future. Thankful for the opportunities that have come my way - Never take them for granted, and most importantly, never give up on chasing your dreams. You can do anything!Thank you to Rhys Webb from FromTheSpot for allowing me to shoot pictures for you, and to Jo Plummer for being part of the team over at The FA who helped make my dream come true by granting the access to the game. Hopefully this is just the beginning of what I can achieve in the future. Iā€™m really pleased with how the photos came out, especially considering it was my first timeā€¦.Any feedback on the shots are welcome!Furthermore, if you're impressed by my work and are interested in my services, please don't hesitate to either drop me a message or email to discuss!

It has been one week since the NBA Paris 2024 game between the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers and I am still struggling to find the words of what this trip meant to me. A recent post came up on my memories from nine years ago where I attended my first ever NBA game at the O2 Arena in London. For context, that game featured Carmelo Anthony when he was with the New York Knicks and a second-year Giannis Antetokounmpo when nobody knew he would eventually become the two-time league MVP. I also didn't know anybody who loved basketball so much, so 16 year old me went to the game, alone. I was hooked on the sport a few years prior to that game, but ever since then I have been following the NBA, some may say obsessively, but nonetheless I knew, even back then, that I would be a fan for life. Fast forward to now, and thanks largely to 2K UK, I was granted the opportunity of a lifetime to make my way to Paris to cover the game as media on behalf of GiveMeSport for the very first time. I will be forever grateful for the experience to have attended both the Cavs and Netsā€™ respective practices, and to even ask questions in their post-practice media availability, while having an exclusive sit down interview with the face of the NBA 2K video game, Ronnie Singh, who was amazing to work with. I also got speak to one of my WNBA heroes, Sabrina Ionescu, albeit briefly, but was a pleasant interaction nonetheless.Honestly, I am still in disbelief that this is how my 2024 (aka Kobe year) started, and it has instilled so much motivation in me to push on forward and make this year even greater career-wise.Special shoutout must go to the 2K guys, Kayleigh Watson, Thomas Nelson, and our great host in Paris, Roderick Jago, those at Finn for helping me along the way Sarah Karmazyn, Hannah Horsfield & James Thomas, and, most importantly, to those at GMS who gave me my start in this field Alex Batt, Christy Malyan only 9 months ago (!!!) & my editor, Olivier Neven. It feels mad to me that I have only been in this industry for less than a year, and I've already made so much progress to get to where I want to be. While I have often had doubts over whether I belong here, it's moments like this that make me realise that I really do. Never give up your dreams. šŸ’šŸ€šŸ‡«šŸ‡·(And of course, I got some sightseeing in too.)

My writing made it on to TV!!!If you tuned into the blockbuster Premier League match-up between Manchester City vs Liverpool on Sky Sports on 25/11, during half time you may have seen the NBA 2K24 advertisem*nt for PlayStationā€¦Which means that you would also have seen my quote feature in the advert itself! This was a pretty surreal moment, especially as a writer as you donā€™t get to see your work featured on television very often. But to see GiveMeSportā€™s name up there alongside the likes of Bleacher Report makes me happy that weā€™re heading in the right direction, and my work individually is also doing that.So excited for what is to come! šŸ€The original article that made this possible can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ezhZca6H
