Two holograph letters, dated Aug. 6 and Dec. 6, 1796, Presidio de San Agustín del Tucson, to Bishop Fray Francisco Rouset de Jesus, Diocese of Sonora, Mexico. Contains brief description and inventory of his church; and mentions Native Americans, civilians, and military in the area, and the needs of the church. Typed transcriptions and English summaries are included.

Includes transactions with many prominent Arizonans.
